Write a 525- to 700-word project scope using the Project Scope template in which you:
Identify the stakeholders for the project.
Identify the project goals.
Summarize the project background, including its purpose and why it is important to complete this project now.
Explain your cost estimate. Support the calculations from your cost estimate spreadsheet. Do not simply cut-and-paste the figures.
Assumptions: Time to completion. Assume that the project will take 5 months with an initial cost estimate of $150,000.
Do not include definitions of the stakeholders, project background, project goals, etc. In the project scope, you must be specific to this project not definitions for these terms.
Complete the Cost Estimate spreadsheet. Refer to the work breakdown structure (WBS) in the case study and document your assumptions when preparing the cost estimate. Remember, the WBS in the case lists which tasks need to be finished for completion of the project. Assume a labor rate of $100 per hour for the project manager, $60 per hour for other project team members, and $100 per hour for any outsourced work. You can also assume that the people working on this project are doing so part-time since they have other projects or their regular duties to work on. The total estimate should be near $150,000.
Submit your Project Scope and Cost Estimate.
