One of the major attractions of the modern world is the ancient Egyptian pyramids. These structures are considered truly unique because they provoke a paradox in the mind when comprehending their scale in relation to time. In ancient Egypt lived, excellent astronomers, to determine the exact time of sowing, very carefully watched the stars, making star charts and tables. Therefore the pyramids are oriented strictly along the meridian; their facets look at the four sides of the world, and the entrance is always on the northern side of the construction.
Having studied the given points of view on the origin of pyramids, it is possible to come to some conclusions. It is absolutely obvious that pyramids were built by educated people knowing the business. Therefore the second version has a place to exist, but why Herodotus, in the records, writes about hundreds of thousands of slaves? Slavery in ancient Egypt was, so the use of slave labor is also undeniable (Trollope, 2020). As for the third point of view, most likely, scientists engineers, and astronomers were revered at the level of gods for the ability to create such masterpieces of world history and culture as the pyramids. The only question is, where did these people draw their knowledge of construction in the 3rd-1st millennium B.C (Petrosyan, 2019)? Also, when studying the architecture of ancient Egypt, one very important problem was detected. Some of the details in construction: grinding and drilling were done with tools from a later period. It is questionable because the great tombs were built during the Copper Age, and copper is known to be a very soft metal, incapable of doing such work. To this day, it remains a mystery how ancient people were able to do such construction work. Having studied this problem, the conclusion is that, most likely, the pyramids already existed before the pharaohs of the 4th dynasty; the rulers simply used them for their purposes, including as their own tomb. Smaller pyramids were built by the Egyptians.
The stepped pyramid at Saqqara is the oldest extant large stone architectural structure in the world. Built at Saqqara for the burial of the Egyptian pharaoh Djoser (Petrosyan, 2019). This six-stage pyramid was the first pyramid in ancient Egypt. To date, the Pyramid of Djoser has survived in good condition, although over the past millennia, it has become somewhat sandbagged, so that its dimensions today are 121 m × 109 m and 61 m high (Pansera & Owen, 2019, p. 33). The styles and forms found during the construction of this pyramid became a model for imitation and further development of stone construction not only in ancient Egypt but also in other regions of the ancient world.
Following the roads of millennia, scientists are trying at least a little closer to unraveling the secrets of antiquity, step by step groping for the truth. One of the most important areas of their work is the mysteries of the Egyptian pyramids. In spite of a long history of excavations and research, in spite of the development of the science and technics of the modern world, mankind still is not able to answer a large number of riddles that are hidden in the Egyptian pyramids.
