Applied sociology is one of the constituent parts of the general body of sociological science. It aims to obtain cognitive data about various social phenomena and processes by studying the causes of their occurrence, the mechanism of functioning, and the direction of further development. Due to applied sociology, the researcher has prospects for exploring not only the present, the actual state of a sociological object, but also forecasting its evolution and impact on the environment. Researchers should practice their sociological understanding in their professional activities to evaluate to what extent their observations correspond to actual life (Lemert 2012). After all, it does not always happen that people act, think, and behave according to social norms. There are deviations and individual factors that must also be taken into account in research.

The adolescent period is the most difficult for a teenager. It occurs because social attitudes are formed, the foundations of morality are laid, and the formation of a personality takes place. At the same age, character traits and patterns of interpersonal behavior are stabilized (Robbins, Alexandra and Wilner 2001). The main motivational lines of this age are associated with the desire for personal self-improvement  self-knowledge, self-expression, self-esteem. There is a need to be like the elders, and sometimes a teenager begins to consider himself a grown-up prematurely, demanding that he is treated as an adult.

Like adults, teenagers will have to develop their own value system. This process can be complicated because parents can only help at the very beginning, and there is a high probability of making the wrong decision. There will be less moral guidance in adulthood, and an internal assessment system will have to be generated (Alexandra and Wilner 2001). For some actions of an adult, no one will praise or scold. Therefore, such a person must know what is acceptable and what is not to continue respecting himself.

In adulthood, it becomes necessary to maintain a balance between work and personal life. Still, young people have to manage their budget while building harmonious relationships with their beloved. Many do try to honestly balance and formally have what it takes to be happy. They pretend that life suits them, but at the same time, they feel only chronic dissatisfaction and fatigue. At the same time, there is no universal advice on how to find harmony; accordingly, young people have to learn from their own mistakes.

Each transitional period in a persons life has its own difficulties. The teenage crisis that accompanies the transition from adolescence to adulthood is most acute. At this age, teens first begin to comprehend and determine the full potential of their personality consciously. Adolescents must prove to themselves and to others their status as independent people. They have to get used to the fact that now their life is much more complicated and hectic (Alexandra and Wilner 2001). Young people can no longer rely on their parents opinions as they did during puberty. They are not confident that they will be able to cope with the difficulties of adulthood and realize that there is no guarantee that they will ever be able to enjoy the pleasures of adulthood. Teenagers experience any situation in their lives more vividly and intensely compared with adults and children. The same life events cause a brighter emotional response in adolescents, and it is much more difficult for them to calm down.
