The selected TED talk video triggers feelings of sympathy, surprise, and disgust. The viewer appreciates the fact that many officers in law enforcement fail to promote equality and offer personalized support to the individuals they are expected to protect. Racism remains a major dilemma in the policing sector that affects people from minority backgrounds. Effective music, poetry, and even speech could help establish an emotional connection with the intended audience if it is to be profitable (Goff). Such a fulfillment will encourage more individuals to learn from the artwork, be engaged, and make the acquired information applicable in community policing. A moving or inspirational portrayal through different speeches or music will promote a cultural change and encourage more people to analyze the intended messages and lessons from an informed perspective.

Since racial bias and discrimination remain common in law enforcement, there is a need for different leaders and policymakers to identify and employ specific artists to maximize the level of emotional connection between members of the society and law enforcers. Such professionals tend to have many followers who appreciate their works. Police officers can, therefore, rely on these approaches to promote cohesion and make diversity a powerful reason for celebrating the existing differences. The emerging emotional connection will ensure that the involved law enforcement officers liaise, interact, and collaborate with the targeted community members efficiently (Goff). These officers will also consider and borrow new ideas for relating with the targeted citizens positively and treating them as followers and not suspects. They will stop dehumanizing them and promote actions that have the potential to minimize racial bias, prejudice, and hatred. Consequently, more societies will record positive security outcomes and make community policing a reality.
