Overview
An evaluation logic model provides a visual representation of the program evaluation plan. You were introduced to multiple types of evaluation models in Week 8. For this assignment, you will use the logic model format to present a program evaluation plan, using the program related to your topic of interest that you located for the Week 8 research activity.
Preparation
To prepare for this assignment, download the following two documents:
An Evaluation Planning [DOCX] template.
A Logic Model Framework [DOCX] template, based on the model out of the University of Wisconsin Extension program.
Both documents must be completed and submitted for this assignment.
Instructions
Using the Evaluation Planning template provided:
Name and briefly describe the program you selected for your evaluation plan. As a reminder, this should be a specific manualized program that addresses your topic of interest or another topic in the field of psychology. Identify short- and long-term expected program outcomes. Explain the connection between this program and a theoretical framework, using supporting references.
Create at least four evaluation questions you would ask about this program. These may include questions indicated by the program, questions you identify as interesting to you, or both. Differentiate at least two qualitative and two quantitative evaluation questions. The questions should revolve around expected program goals or outcomes. Connect each question to a specific program outcome. If the program you’re evaluating doesn’t specifically identify outcomes, you may need to infer reasonable program outcomes. For each evaluation question, specify whether the outcome being investigated is affective, behavioral, or knowledge-based.
For each evaluation question, describe at least one type (e.g., rating scale, interview, observation) and one source (e.g., program participants, program attendance data, program facilitator) of data that could be used to help answer the question. Make sure your data is aligned with the type of question you’re asking. Qualitative questions should be answered using qualitative data, and quantitative questions should be answered using quantitative data.
Then use the editable Logic Model Framework template provided to create the logic model for your program evaluation. Be sure to complete all sections of the logic model. Your assignment should meet the following requirements:
