Introduction:

Reflective journal, Reflecting upon our past experiences and situations can help us to handle and face our challenges in the future in a much better way. By completing the first term of my MBA in people in organization subject, I benefited from various kinds of new things, as well as the refreshment of the topics which I already knew, just like remembering. The reflective journal will always help students to learn from their experiences, in this subject (people in the organization) there are many topics that helped me how to behave towards others; a better way of understanding values, communication towards others, formal behavior in organization and so on While coming to the motivation for a person How soon not now becomes never’ (King, 2019). In the workplace, motivation will help the employee will work with better interest and responsibilities. The satisfaction of success will also come from motivation. A person can drive into a task even if he/she is not interested. It can also set goals for individuals, setting up goals is healthy because it gives you something to work hard for like it makes you get up early in the morning, and it makes you work what you want.

Motivational factors in me:

There is no elevator to success, one must take the staircase to achieve it by the form of motivation. It is easy to set a goal, we do it all the time but staying motivated to achieve it is important (Kaplan, 2017). Creating a personal mission statement is motivational because it states why you are doing this work and what you want to achieve from it in relation to your own professional and personal development (Wissman, 2017) In my case, my internal motivation is done by my father, it was started from my childhood as we were not so rich in my childhood my father used to work very hard, I havent seen him for a couple of days in a week he used to work day and night, as I dont know in that age my parents used to explain to me that you should work hard from the beginning, by saying the examples of my father, he used to tell me his self motivations from day 1 he used to tell me that your motivations can full fill your dreams, he explained to me his dream is to build a big house, which makes him motivated, from that time on words I used to be in a track of motivation for my dreams. The reason for my motivation is to buy a BMW car with my own money, to tell in a simple manner Money is an important factor for motivation to lead a luxurious life in todays world, moreover, money is an indication of ones status in the society and primarily the society identifies any human being with the amount of money he possesses (guruji). When I am fourteen years old I learned car driving, people wont believe that I learned car driving at 14, this achievement is made by myself by the self-motivation of my dream. Later on, My father aim is that I need to become a Doctor, and for that reason my junior college was science background, I was not interested to become a doctor it is because my sister is a doctor I saw her in my 10th class onwards, and she used to study 20 hours a day, by seeing her I even not able to motivate by myself it was the biggest mistake ever I made, she also tries to motivate me but I cant take it by seeing her stress. It’s a strange thought that our relationships with our siblings may be at the center of what makes us become. I might prefer to say that success is due to parental support, social connections, and our personal attributes in particular, including our own hard work and intelligence. However, the most influential in this regard may be our siblings. They shape our self-sense and our identity. We also know that siblings can have direct effects on each other’s development when they serve as social partners, role models, and foils and that siblings can indirectly influence each other because of their impact on larger family dynamics, such as serving as building blocks of the family structure, holding a favored family niche or diluting family resources. (McHale SM, 2006)

(Maslow, 1943) Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs explained motivational theory in psychology comprising a five-tier model of human needs, it is related to every human being, in my case also this theory has played a key role like self fulfilments needs, achieving my fathers full potential; Esteem needs, feeling of accomplishment of my own needs; belonging and love needs, where my friends have supported me in many things for my development and till now I have maintained the same relationship with my friends and loved once; safety needs like security of my life is well planned my father as well as myself in working hard for my goals and the last need in this theory is basic things physiological needs like rest which we want for plan for our motivation, food, and water is to provide energy to fulfill our daily resolutions. My parents and friends also used to motivate me in many things to aim for something in my career. One of my friends usually says that a Man without motivation will be considered a mobile phone without charge in it, this though I desire a dream and use the weapon called motivation. Motivation is our ability to dream of accomplishing great things in life. This is because our dreams are becoming our first motivation point. If you want to be passionate about something, it’s your desire to have that thing that should drive you on (jones, 2013)

My work record:

After that I joined BBA (bachelor of business administration) to take over my fathers business, after joining the business department, I came to know that people are very fast than me, and many friends of mine used to train me in their experiences. In the BBA program, I started self-motivation by keeping small resolutions, and makings things to be done at the time, after 2 semesters I have done my internship in a pharmaceutical company this was the first step in my employment career their I used to work only 4 hours a day, while this employment job will come under intrinsic motivation, I have not worked for the money, I have worked for the achievement, individual growth, this internship has not given me any stipend for its only for my certificate, this will help to update my resume, and also very useful to my future business as my experiences. In this internship company, my work is to count the number of tablets sheets or types of medicine that are exported to other countries, and also make a balance sheet of their revenue, I have struggled a lot in these situations because my background is not accounting even maths, my entire background is science, at that time I have done my homework with the help of my friends for the preparation of balance sheet. In every regard, it is highly motivating to know that someone loves you, cares for you, believes in you, and is cheering for you (Becker, 2012). For every person keeping family aside, friends will also motivate our development.

In the second year of my BBA program, again I have done my internship in a Health Sector Company called HERBAL LIFE, it is a nutrition company, and it is 2 months program. In this company same as before I worked for a certificate not for the money, at this time I faced many problems in my life, in the company itself my college faculty was playing a key role in the decision-making, as a college faculty he must not involve in my company guide work like giving orders to me to do work even on Saturdays, Sundays and even in the holidays also, as a college faculty his duty to help me and my teammates with the submission of reports at that time, must take care of our accommodations and must motivate us to get things done, by this reason I refused to continue my internship program in that company, as a result, I have not received my certificate even after working for that company. Certificates should be used as a motivator and obtaining a certification should be a challenge and should be aligned with important and valuable competencies that your organization cares about (Cushard) This is because of a lack of myself motivation, at that time I must not refuse it, because of my stress in my work I loosed my motivation ability, after completing my second year I come to know the importance of that certificate. (SteveMartin, 2012) Said that Be so good that they cant ignore you. I should have been good towards my faculty but I did a mistake. By this experience I have done my internship again in the third year with a different company, this is because of the experiences I faced in the second year. By now I can confidently say that we can learn everything by our experience, by this experience now I am holding 3 years of internship certificates. These situations motivated me in many things, like coming to Singapore to do my Masters; must not take everything so easy and must work for the reason either money or for rewards. Motivation will be involved for every person at a certain point for success in their life.

Conclusion:

Through this reflective journal writing, I came to know the quality of learning in the form of understanding my own learning process, improved my professional development and also I came to recall my past experiences which will help me move forward in a better way of my development. As I have not achieved my goal so far so I need to motivate more and more myself and be patient. As I mentioned in above, the entire role to my motivation is my parents and my friends, I came to know that motivations will always depend on the dreams we set, my dream is to buy a BMW car with my own money for that reason I should work by the motivational factors by both Extrinsic and Intrinsic. A successful man will always motivate us directly or indirectly through his pathway.
