Self-defense is the ability to defend yourself when in danger. In the unpredictable world in which we live, a person can find himself in situations where he must defend himself. Self-defense is nothing more than a collection of physical techniques used to protect yourself from an attack. To protect oneself from being harmed, injured, or even worse killed, is a basic right of a human. Instead of being vulnerable and helpless, many people have learned self-defense and being able to protect themselves. The only person that can always defend you is only yourself.

Martial arts are a great way to learn self-defense. Martial arts are suitable for everyone, it doesn’t matter if you are a boy or a girl. And it’s also never late or early to start practicing martial arts. I believe that martial arts are not that dangerous and they are also very beneficial in our lives. Martial arts not only allow us to learn the necessary self-defense techniques but also allow us to stay in good physical shape. Moreover, when we see other students working hard, it inspires us to work harder and improve our skills as well. Another benefit of martial arts is that they improve our mental state as they teach us discipline, focus respect, and self-confidence, which are very important values in our daily life. Being healthy is also good as it increases our self-esteem and having good self-confidence will help us look at things and life from a better perspective.

In my opinion, martial arts are very important as I do them myself. My martial arts classes are teaching me many new life skills that I will definitely need in the future. Moreover, thanks to this hobby, I made new friends. I became more confident. I put a lot of effort into being successful to show other people what I can do, but also to show myself what I can do.

In conclusion, I would just like to say that, from my point of view, martial arts are very useful in everyday life because we learn many new skills and tactics on how to defend ourselves in a dangerous situation. Such activities also allow us to gain more confidence and meet new people, which is useful and increases our self-esteem. In addition, martial arts are accessible to everyone, so they can be learned by anyone, regardless of age or gender. I think everyone should learn self-defense as it is really supportive and very beneficial and gives a new hobby and skills to apply in life.
