Introduction

Conducting an interview requires careful preparation and study of the hero. No less important is the development of questions and contacts with the interviewer. Well-chosen and asked questions can make communication with the hero interesting and their answers full of meaning.

What I Have Learned from The Interview

One of the critical things that I have learned from the interview is that it is consistent and long-term work to achieve a specific goal. Practical experience in the profession, which Julie describes in answering the second question, played an essential role in her career to achieve success. The next factor that influenced my perception of the workforce was the answer to the third question. It is noteworthy that the interview hero is ready to devote her free time to work. Therefore, it is essential to note that it is necessary to perceive work as part of your life for success. Many people who do not enjoy work are watching the clock and waiting for the job to be done. In the case of Julie, on the contrary, she is willing to work extra to achieve specific results.

The next point I would like to highlight in the replies of Julie is the high level of organization of events and training on the professional development of employees. She elaborates on this topic in answer to question 7. Specific programs, such as a Healthstream system and leadership strategies, are an integral part of the work of the organization in which Julie works.

What Surprised Me

My surprise began with an answer to the first question I asked Julie. Miss Julie Bankston said she had no college degree. However, this allowed her to take a quality position in a good company. In the interview, some moments coincided with our course readings. For example, the answer to question eight confirms the fact that modern HR Managers are looking for potential employees with non-standard thinking skills. Moreover, abilities such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication in responses of Julie also correspond to the course reading.

Some of Julias answers began with the words, This is difficult. Although I initially thought it was a sign of my unsuccessful question, after reading the interview, I realized that her answers were informative and exciting. The conclusion I have drawn is that the interview hero uses the words this is difficult because they need time to think. A question that touches on a subject that is important to the hero cannot be answered quickly and easily. Consequently, I have highlighted certain aspects of the psychological aspect of the interview.

During the interview, I was surprised that some of the heros answers were short. This fact had a negative impact on me because I felt there was a possibility that Julie did not want to talk to me and wanted to finish the interview faster. Because I had to ask the following question right away, the conversation became unnatural. My conclusion is that some of my questions have been prepared wrong. Because of this, the hero could not tell the story but answered quickly and briefly (Brinkmann & Kvale, 2018). An example of an unsuccessful question followed by the shortest possible answer was question 13. Julia responded with two words, thirty plus.

However, as a positive example, it is worth considering the fifth question, where my question is as short as possible, and the heros answer is voluminous. In addition, I managed to get Julia to answer sincerely and talk about specific problems. For example, in question 9, she explained what aspects of the work she did not like and what made her uncomfortable.

Conclusion

In conclusion, it will be necessary to stress the importance of thorough preparation for interviews. Good question writing can significantly improve communication with the hero of the discussion, as well as make conversation natural and exciting. This approach will help obtain long and vital answers.
