Climate change is a process of weather patterns and average temperature values alteration explained by human influence factors. This problem is a long-term issue, which needs careful consideration and accurate solutions. Even though it is thoroughly examined, there are still some unknown factors for its development. Moreover, there are many solution proposals for different efficacy. This essay aims to assess human impact on the environment leading to climate change and highlight the essential ways of solution.

Increasing sea level is the slowest but the most disastrous consequence of human actions. An elevated amount of greenhouse gases results in the retention of solar energy in the low levels of the atmosphere, which in turn brings to the melting of glaciers. This outcome has an enormous scope of effect, for example, the destructive floods in Indonesia and sea emerging of Maldives (Ding et al, p. 57). Warming temperature also increases the frequency of other natural disasters, as there are more hurricanes in North Atlantic, exceptional drought in Cameron compared to the past (Doupe and Faghmous, p. 1). Not only terrestrial life is suffering, but also ocean temperature higher than usual destroys the Great Barrier Reef (Wolff et al, p. 1983). To summarize, there are numerous instances of the effect of global warming and climate change.

The solution to this problem lies in the change of human lifestyles. The renewable sources of energy should substitute fossil fuels around the world as the technologies for their usage are already available. The pandemic experience has showed that short-term coal reduction and oil burning can result in a significant decrease in carbon dioxide levels. Similarly, governments should encourage their citizens to use public transport to lessen CO2 emissions. Furthermore, information about climate change and solutions should be distributed. Social advertisements of vegetarianism, plastic-free style of life, and water preservation could affect more people to participate in the resolution.

To conclude, climate change exacerbates natural disasters all around the world. Many countries are affected by the implications of natural disasters caused by this phenomenon. The joint tackling of this problem is the key to saving the environment and improving the quality of life everywhere. If people know about the problem and change their habits for environment-friendly practices, the situation surely can improve which helps to reduce its consequences as well.
