ABC Funeral Home is a company which always strives to provide services of excellent quality to all of its clients. Therefore, to guarantee consistent adherence to the companys values and mission, it is necessary to maintain an appropriate code of ethics for employees working in the operation room (Leonard, 2019). Here is the preparation room code of ethics of ABC Funeral House, which relies on the values of safety and quality.

  1. Employees working in the preparation room must approach every deceased person with dignity and respect for their remains.
  2. The preparation room and equipment kept in it must always be sterile in order to prevent contamination.
  3. The preparation shall be a private space reserved only for authorized personnel and isolated from the viewing of third parties.
  4. Every employee working in the preparation room has to be educated on the latest statutes, laws, and regulations governing their profession and activities and must not violate them.
  5. The preparation room staff must not disclose the identities of the people whose remains they prepare to any unauthorized individual.
  6. The quality of the preparation work must always be the primary priority of the personnel.

The code of ethics presented above consists of six main rules which every person working in the preparation room has to observe. The first rule encourages the staff to avoid making any inappropriate statements or actions in reference to the person they prepare. The personnel is also responsible for keeping the premises of the room inaccessible to unauthorized individuals and maintaining the equipment in a proper condition. It is obligatory that the staff follow all the professional standards and observe all the regulations in order to avoid facing legal consequences. Finally, the staff has to preserve the private information of the people they prepare and should always prioritize the quality of their work over other factors, including time.
