I have also include professor feedback on things that needs to be corrected as well.
Feedback:
There are some good points here, and good focus areas. However, the presentation of some items needs some work.
The introduction should be a very detailed overview of the topic area. For example, you jump right into the security issues rather than provided detail on cloud computing, what its history is and then moving into the problem area. This also requires citing of sources to support this as required.
There shouldn’t be a “Topic Area” section heading, it doesn’t belong – you can’t have Introduction, then Topic Area, its a section heading on top of another and doesn’t belong there.
Problem Statement looks good, well done, it shows a clear focus on what the problem is.
What we need next is the Purpose Statement, which speaks to the direction of the study to help solve the problem specifically.
Reseach question is good, keep this and the problem in each document as it is solid.
Significance of the Study (correct title) should speak more to how the study will contribute to the body of knowledge, but this is going in the right direction, just a little revision
Literature review should speak to what a literature review is, how it is important in research, and should only be about the literature, not about the study, it is all about the literature and research done in this area. Tieing it in to the study comes much later.
Many areas in the literature review point to “this thesis” make sure to remove it. This should only be about the literature
The methodology should speak to the research methodology only, and not the data collection. You should be stating what the chosen methodology is (in your case you mention mixed methods) and you should state what it is, why it was chosen, and why other methods were not chosen specifically. This also needs to be supported with citations.
Data Collection an Analysis should speak to how data will be collected, what processes and procedures will be used, inclusion and exclusion criteria. You should also be speaking to the same for human participants which will note more than just the collection, but how participants will be chosen, what the criteria will be, inclusion and exclusion criteria, how they will be protected, etc. Since you plan to use human participants, you will need to get this all tied up so you can get started on the IRB application
Avoid speaking to “Expected Results” its not really something we should see at this point.
This is a strong start, but there will be some revision needed to bring the rest of the above items to the place they need to be. I know you can do it as you got a good start here.
• Submit your Research Design
• Review your articles/sources and continue writing your 25 -page literature review due week eight
• When the proposed thesis or project involves the study of human subjects and/or animals, such as a survey or interview, an Institutional Review Board review and approval of the proposed research is required. Please visit research.htm for more guidance—this process takes about a month to complete. Once your proposal is approved, you will work closely with your professor as you develop and address your topic.
Research Design is due at the end of Week 4. It describes how you will test the hypothesis or assess your research questions and carry out your analysis. This section describes the data to be used to test the hypothesis, how the student will operationalize and collect data on his/her variables, and the analytic methods that to be used, noting potential biases and limitations to the research approach. It should include:
Identification and operationalization (measurement) of variables.
A sampling plan (i.e., study population and sampling procedures, if appropriate).
Justification of case studies used.
Data collection/sources (secondary literature, archives, interviews, surveys, etc.).
a summary of analysis procedures (pattern-matching, etc.); and
Limitations of study and bias discussion.
Submission Instructions:
Please review the rubric and Capstone Manual for more specific guidelines on expectations; however, please note you are to provide comprehensive analysis of details, facts, and concepts in a logical sequence. You should demonstrate a higher- level of critical thinking necessary for 500-600 level work. You are to provide well-supported ideas and reflection with a variety of current and/or world views in the assignment. You are expected to present a genuine intellectual development of ideas throughout assignment. You should thoroughly understand and excel in explaining all major points. An original, unique, and/or imaginative approach to overall ideas, concepts, and findings is required. Overall format of assignment needs to include an appropriate introduction (or abstract), well- developed paragraphs, and conclusion. Finished assignment demonstrates your ability to plan and organize research in a logical sequence.
You may also rent or purchase the books on Amazon at a very reasonable price (specifically Prime members) and download it too.
The APUS End of Program Assessment Manual for Graduate Studies (aka the EOP Manual) is located at Manual.
The EOP Manual presents the requirements for formatting your capstone paper or thesis. You will also need to consult your program’s style guide.
Also consult the library’s Writing Help – Thesis/Capstone page and the Research Methods Information Guide for tips on formatting and structuring your thesis.

Hypothesis/Research Questions:
These are your research questions (what you plan to measure/examine). This section may also be in paragraph form. Research questions must be individual questions that each measures only one item (one question = one measurement). A couple of questions are expected in this section (typically 2 to 5). You MUST put these questions in traditional null hypotheses format.
If you are conducting a qualitative study, you may use your research questions.
For example: There is no statistical significant difference between someone who grows up in a poor neighborhood and someone from a middle or upper class neighborhood likely involvement in crime (quantitative design would use this example).
For example: If someone grows up in a poor neighborhood, they will be more likely to be involved with crime than someone in a middle or upper class neighborhood.

The Research Design Section:
•Identification and operationalization (measurement) of variables.
•A sampling plan (i.e., study population and sampling procedures, if appropriate).
•Justification of case studies used.
•Data collection/sources (secondary literature, archives, interviews, surveys, etc.).
•a summary of analysis procedures (pattern-matching, etc.); and
•Limitations of study and bias discussion.
In short, your research design should be the “step by step” directions that would enable a researcher to carry out and execute your research should you be unable to conduct the study yourself. (Think of this as directions from how to get to point A to point B. This detail is necessary as it demonstrates that you understand how to best do your research for your topic.)

Incorporated all this sections references into one comprehensive list and should be in APA 6th Edition format.
Also if you had a reference in your reference section, you must have a citation from that work somewhere in the body of your work. The citations and references must match up.
You will be strictly held to the APA standards. Proper citations, in format and use as well as proper references must be implemented.
