2. Is your court mentioned in the Texas Constitution. and if so, where? If not, who established your court?
3. How would you get selected for a judge in your 3 courts and what qualifications do you need to have? (Use the PowerPoint/lecture materials for this portion of your answer.)
4. Do you get paid (how much if you can find it) and what is your term of office (this you should be able to find)?
5. How many justices, if any, serve with you on your court(s)? (This is in our PowerPoint/lecture materials.)
6. What is the jurisdiction and what type of cases do your 3 courts hear (original or appellate or both)? What does it mean to have original or appellate jurisdiction (see PowerPoint/lecture notes)? For the type of cases you will hear, tell me too if they are criminal or civil and what that means.
7. Does your court have jurors? If not, tell us why there are no jurors. If your court can have jurors, how many jurors would serve in a trial in your court?
8. Tell us why you would make a good judge for your court picks and why we should select you over other qualified candidates.
