This week, it is your turn to share with the group. You have been asked to summarize non-financial statement information about iRobot Corporation, a manufacturing company. 2. Write a one-to-two-page summary report (about 250 to 400 words—no more than a 2-page double-spaced report). Most of the information you need will be at the beginning of the 10K report, before the financial statements (item 8, page 47).
Use your own words. Summarizing is an important part of this report.
Write complete sentences, double-spaced.
Include in-text citations and an APA format reference page. There should be at least one reference for the 2022 10K report. You can use the same reference I used above. Also, include in-text citations when needed.
Paragraph one Introduction: Summarize iRobot Corporation’s business (what they manufacture), what is important to them (mission), and what is the proposed 2022 merger agreement.
Paragraphs two and three: Using the 10K report, choose two business areas of interest to you and summarize costs briefly (use one paragraph for each area). Here are some suggestions: products/service, technology, sales/distribution, manufacturing, marketing, intellectual property, human capital, competition, risks…. Remember, our topic is cost accounting.
Last paragraph: Short summary paragraph giving an example of how stakeholders could use the cost accounting information in paragraphs two and three to make decisions.
Reference page: include iRobot Corporation’s 10K report.
3. Save your double-spaced report as a separate Word document. No cover page is needed. However, in-text citations and a reference page in APA format are required (including the 10K reference). You may include your name and assignment title in the heading.
