Consider the behavioral methods described in Wright et al. (2017) chapter 6.
Answer
1. Why is behavioral activation important, particularly among clients with depression?
2. How would you begin to incorporate another behavioral method to help Mrs. Houston?
Complete: After completing the assigned chapter readings, complete a Thought Record (TR). Create your own using the example TR provided for you. Also, see the Wright text (pages 9-12) for a list of cognitive distortions.
Your thought record should include at least three to four entries that are based on situations from your own life.
Part 3: SW with IMMG
“If your papers are not in order there is always that incredible fear that your child, especially a child with so much need, would be left without you being able to care for them if you get deported,” said Rocio Smith, who helps organize an annual conference for Latino families with special needs children in Hayward. “That’s a huge thing for families, on top of everything else. You have a child who needs all sorts of equipment just to live, and then you’re afraid that someday you will not be able to come home to care for them.” February 2021, California Health Report
Respond to the quotation above, giving your opinion that is based on the readings for this week.
