The need of the leadership training

Management teams and employees in different organizations have raised numerous concerns regarding the effectiveness of traditional method of training undertaken in directing organizations through a transition period. It is therefore essential for management teams to undertake new leadership training that will instill invaluable skills in coordinating core activities during the transition (Forsyth, Aviles, & Leitch, 2005, p. 7).

Leadership training provides a platform for both employees and management teams to familiarize themselves with the new structures and also address other concerns regarding these structures. Incorporation of a new system of leadership is in tandem with industry realignment that focuses on strengthening leadership capacity thus increasing the organizations profit level (Hersey, Blanchard & Johnson, 2007, p. 12).

  3. To equip managers with valuable knowledge and skill regarding work motivation and their application in harnessing their performance.
  4. To align organizational leadership structure in tandem with the organizational culture.

  2. Effective communication with regard to organizational activities will be analyzed. This will be undertaken by taking into consideration the impact of information in enhancing effectiveness in leadership.
  3. Nurturing effective relationships within and without the organization. Effective relationships with the external environment bolster organizational performance while creating more ventures and opportunities.
  4. Motivational factors in relation to work environment will also be considered in the training due to their overall contribution to the organizational performance. One of the factors that will be evaluated with regard to motivation includes job satisfaction and reward management.

Rationale for introducing new leadership skills to the management

Management has been considered as an integral component of an organization since it determines the success of an organization. Diversity in management levels and roles has increased due to environmental changes such as increased competition and turbulent economic times. In tandem with organizational culture, introduction of new leadership skills is vital in enhancing returns amongst organizational shareholders. (Ashraf, n.d, p. 157).

Empowering the managers and staff to embrace managerial changes is paramount in ensuring that the organization succeeds in the long term. In addition, new leadership skills acquired through training will improve management teams decision making capability hence the overall performance of the organization.
